DIY MATERIAL LAB

Cookies and browser storage

DIY Material Lab uses browser storage for projects and appearance preferences, and Google Analytics cookies to measure visits.

Projects and preferences

Shopping lists and material profiles use localStorage on your device. The theme setting also uses localStorage to remember light, dark or system appearance. These entries remain until you remove them or clear site data. Local storage is separate from cookies and keeps projects without a customer account or project upload.

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4 uses _ga to distinguish visitors and _ga_RKRY3N605D to maintain session state. The default lifetime is two years; Google settings and browser controls can affect expiry. Analytics loads automatically on the production domain without a consent prompt. The site does not explicitly send calculator inputs, URL query parameters or fragments. Browser tracking protection or Google's opt-out add-on can block Analytics.

Administrative sessions

Administration and installation areas use a session cookie for authentication and request security. Ordinary calculator use does not start an administrative session. The session cookie has no persistent expiry and normally ends with the browser session.

Manage stored data

Use your browser's site-data settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage for this domain. Export projects before deleting storage. Blocking it can prevent projects and preferences from being retained. Advertising is disabled by default.
