2D Sheet Cut Optimizer

Calculate materials, optimize cutting layouts and estimate costs. Make every measurement count.

Planning estimates; verify measurements and product data before purchasing.

Your material plan

Enter your measurements to build a material plan.

Rectangles are sorted by area and placed into disjoint guillotine remainders. Trim is removed from every stock edge before packing. Rotation is disabled when grain direction is locked. Remainders show dimensions and source sheet; only those meeting both minimum side lengths are listed as reusable. The method does not model irregular shapes, defects, angled cuts or machine toolpaths.

Calculation method

A₁ ≥ A₂ ≥ …; (x, y, w, h) ⊆ (W − 2t, H − 2t)

Measure. Calculate. Build.

  1. Use actual dimensions and split complex rooms into rectangles.
  2. Allow for cuts, joints and package sizes. Compare stock formats.
  3. Combine your results in a shopping list you can save and print.

Prices are supplied by you. Area estimates do not establish a feasible cutting arrangement. These tools do not assess structural loads or issue construction approvals.
